What is new this week...

Pixie began her radiation treatment on Monday, September 22nd.  She was worn-out and we wanted her to get all the rest she could that night.  On Tuesday she was her own self again and was lighting up the room with all of her spunk.

Tomorrow Jubilee will be getting AIS installed by my brother Allan who is driving from Annapolis to meet us.  This is a long over due upgrade and we're happy to have AIS before leaving on our trip.

Covers are finished...but more to do!

Don finished the jerry can covers and placed them on the porch last week.  Now he is working on a cockpit cover for Pixie and altering the weatherboards. There always is something that needs to be sewed or repaired for Jubilee.

Our concern for the last two months has been Pixie's health and well being.  We now feel she is on the road to recovery after her melanoma vaccine and the red blood cell capsule she takes every day.  We notice the changes in her energy and hope it continues.  Thanks for all of our friends in supporting us & Pixie throughout this part of her life.

Preparing Jubilee for her trip South

This is our second time going South with Jubilee.  We are working to add some extras to her that we didn’t have the first time.  Both Sue and I believe that AIS (https://www.marinetraffic.com/) is necessary, and all the added features Don has combined with his sewing throughout the year.  We are waiting for Pixie to receive her last melanoma vaccine shot on October 16th and then we should be ready to take the trip down the Chesapeake Bay and into the Atlantic Intra Coastal Waterway.
